Železiarne Podbrezová (ZP) is pleased to announce the publication of its first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
The document reports the environmental performance of our seamless hot rolled pipes. These products today are employed in areas such as power production, fluid transport, mechanical and construction processing.
The EPD certification is an essential tool that allows the evaluation of the environmental impact of our pipes on different parameters, such as the climate effects, in terms of product life cycle – LCA (Life Cycle Assessment).
The document was produced in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804:2012+A2:2019, with final verification by independent third parties.
The achievement of this result is considered a further important milestone by the entire ZP Group. Because it testifies our belief in showing transparently, and with a standardized approach, the environmental parameters of our products.
It is also further proof of the attention and commitment that our company places, and with increasing emphasis will place, in minimizing the impact of our products.
In order to continue our vision of transparent and sustainable production, we are proud to be able to anticipate that two additional EPDs will soon be issued regarding billets and cold-drawn tubes, covering in this way the entire offer of ZP products.
