The winter season at Tále had a slower start, but it is now offering everything that makes for great skiing. Ski Tále traditionally opened on St. Stephen’s Day, and thanks to more favorable freezing temperatures, slope conditions are currently very good.
From the children’s lift to a wider range of slopes
December was unpredictable in terms of weather. Above-zero temperatures and wind initially allowed only the children’s lift to operate. With the arrival of colder weather, however, technical snowmaking got underway and additional slopes were gradually opened.
“We are making full use of the sub-zero temperatures. Currently, four out of six lifts are in operation (as of January 5), and the skiing conditions are very good,” says Miroslava Rybovičová from the marketing department of Ski Tále.
Slopes, services, and relaxation all in one place
Today, skiers at Tále can enjoy regularly groomed slopes suitable for families as well as more experienced skiers. During the day, visitors can also take advantage of the resort’s facilities – the Grey Bear and Stodola restaurants, a ski school, rental shop, and service center.
A new addition this winter season is the Northfinder sports shop, which has expanded the offer with ski and ski touring clothing and practical accessories.
Discounted skiing for ŽP employees
The good news is that skipass prices have remained unchanged this season as well. Employees of Železiarne Podbrezová also have access to discounted transferable skipasses.
For €28, they receive 20 rides that can be used over several days. The skipass is valid until the end of the 2025/2026 ski season and can be purchased directly at the resort ticket office upon presentation of an employee card.
Winter at Tále beyond the slopes
Skiing is not the only attraction of winter at Tále. The season kicked off with the New Year’s Malalata party, and public races of the Northfinder Cup will also take place during the winter. The first of three rounds is scheduled for Sunday, January 25.
Winter at Tále continues, offering space for active relaxation, sports, and a pleasantly spent day in the mountains.
